The technique comes from its riveting application experience. The insert is fixed to the part by pressure and by traction on the thread.
This approach is really efficient and productive when the insert must be placed in an automated assembly line or a robotised cell.
The clear advantage is the speed of the cycle. With this method P-INDUSTRY is able to achieve perfect fixing of the insert, ensuring mechanical seal together with precision of thread positioning.

The blind rivet is the most common rivet on the market, thanks to its wide range of applications and to the affordable price and easiness of use of the manual riveting tools.
This fact would suggest that also the automation of this type of rivets is simple and inexpensive. This is not true because an automated riveting system must provide reliability standards much higher than the common manual tools: in the automated rivets loading, in riveting, in the mandrel/spindle removing, in the full control of the riveting process and more.
The benefits of this solution are:
Cycle time of 3 seconds: separating the rivet loading phase from the riveting phase has decreased cycle time of 30%.
Mechanical removing of the mandrel/spindle: this solution has been implemented to guarantee 100% reliability; furthermore, the mechanical expulsion does not require air suction inside the riveting tool, reducing the dust inside the tool and the need to stop the machine for cleaning.
Compatibility with all the rivets materials and types: the solutions are designed to work with any type, dimension and material of blind rivets.
Riveting cycle control: P-INDUSTRY systems are able to keep all the single phases of the cycle under control, alerting any anomaly on the operator panel.
Process control: where required, it is possible to have a traceability of the complete riveting process, by saving all the process parameters for each cycle: riveting force, riveting stroke, rivet conformity.
